Tee hee, just seen Where The Wild Things Are, originally by Maurice Sendak. Remember it vaguely from years back but a cracking film. Highly recommended.
I'm with Meredith on "Wild Things." I guess we're more or less the same age, but our son Marcus heard us read "Wild Things" maybe 500 times. God help you if you skipped anything, either. We loved "Night Kitchen," too, with the Laurel and Hardy lookalikes. But somehow we missed "Goodnight Moon."
one of my daughter's favorites, like hollis, we have read that book so many times we all have it memorized. "please don't go, we'll eat you up, we love you so."
The 'Wild Things!' - I can't help wondering if you remember the poster in the corner of our workshop, I wasn't sure that you really trusted it. Maurice Sendack is quite special, which is why I wasn't sure that I wanted to see the film, good though?
is that you on the right?
ReplyDeleteI use to love reading this book to the kid-o-s..
ReplyDeleteTha and in the night kichen and goodnight moon....
I will have to put it on my list.
From "humphs" to "rumpuses" you're giving the letter "u" a workout this month.

ReplyDeleteIs it not often you see Prince Philip, The Queen and Prince Charles having such a good time. A liitle premature with the crown though!!
